“Snackpacks: A Side Project” by CERA, Katie Batten and Beauty & Brawn is a playful story which speaks to the power of dreaming, the heart in hopefulness, the warmth of togetherness and the freedom in adventure. Colorfully evidenced by two co-pilots and fellow travelers in the midst of their cosmic voyage, the imagery represents the soul and unity in and of collaboration. The piece speaks to the power of creating “something from nothing” and highlights the interplay of marking tasks on calendars and yet still being indebted to no one but to time itself. This mural is part of a developing public arts and mural initiative created in tandem with CERA, Katie Batten and Beauty & Brawn, also now known as the SNACKPACKS Coalition.
