Sam- Artist

A native of upstate New York, I have been living and working in the Chicagoland area for the past 25 years. I studied figure drawing, painting, and sculpture at the American Academy of Art and received a degree from Chicago’s Columbia College. I have also been known to paint and build things for money, but this is my first gallery show. Enjoy.

My statement

Six things to keep in mind while viewing my work:

1. Old photos purchased at estate sales for a quarter can be a great source of inspiration.
2. Please, do not eat the paintings. Some of the paintings may look like candy, but they are not.
3. Chemtrails.
4. Love ignored is like heroin to the romantic fool… minus the euphoria.
5. Depending on size and complexity, it takes five minutes to two and a half hours to make a building.
6. Wood rocks.
