Lauren Goldstein

Lauren is a photographer and teaching artist from Burlington, Vermont, who currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. A recent graduate from the Master of Arts in Art Education program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she also holds a Bachelors of Science in Art Education from the University of Vermont.

Lauren is interested in the beneficial uses of art in society, as well as the use of art making to explore the self. Her recently completed thesis, Photography and Autoethnography: The Role of Currere in Processing Memories of Abuse, included research into autoethnographic methods of uncovering the past self and discovering the present self through memory-work, phototherapy techniques and self portraiture.
