Christine Bespalec-Davis
In her current work, Christine Bespalec-Davis integrates the Christian tradition of relics with her own personal narratives, drawing a fine line between that which defines beauty, obsession and honor. She believes, “Reliquaries speak of miraculous belief; the physical interpretations of a person, place or event.” Her reliquaries integrate found and precious objects, encapsulating the sustained life of memory in disposable objects.
Christine is a Chicago based artist whose work integrates historical and personal meaning into sculptural objects and installations.
