Corey Hagelberg

Corey Hagelberg (b.1983) was born in and has lived most of his life in Gary, Indiana. He earned an undergraduate degree in sculpture and a graduate degree in printmaking from Ball State University and spent several years travelling around the country building public playgrounds in thirty states.

In 2012 Corey co-founded the non-profit organization, Calumet Artist Residency, with his partner, Kate. Centered in the Indiana Dunes, the residency aims to promote the arts and connect people, art and nature in the Calumet Region. Currently, Corey is an adjunct Professor at Indiana University Northwest College and maintains a studio practice focused on black and white woodcut and assemblage.
